ETIP DG annual meeting 2022: held successfully on 13 December

The ETIP Deep geothermal organised it annual meeting last Tuesday 13th of December in an hybrid mode with physical and virtual attendance of 133 participants.

ETIP-DG activities
After a review of the 2022 activities, participants discussed the work plan for 2023.
The proposal to rename our ETIP from ETIP Deep geothermal towards ETIP Geothermal has been approved with unanimity. See details below.
EGEC presented the new energy policy initiatives (Firfor55, REPowerU, etc.) has some of them required new technologies and R&I and many funding opportunities make reference to this REPowerEU Plan.

Towards a Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda on geothermal technologies
Working Group leaders presented the topics already listed for the upcoming Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) of the ETIP.
All WG were reviewed with a discussion allowing to identify new R&I topics. The next step is to provide a consolidated draft version 1 of the SRIA and open a public consultation until mid-February. An updated version of this documented    will be presented during the next ETIP meeting. See below

Funding opportunities for R&I in geothermal
This session started with a presentation of more than 20 R&I funding opportunities for geothermal: all details are available below.
The two discussion were held; a first one on the Lessons learnt on recent Horizon Europe calls and a second one on the feedbacks on the first calls from CET Partnership

Review of R&I project results
Finally six R&I projects were presented in a 10 minutes presentation.
